During the visit of Austria Delegation in Shanghai, Local governments of Jiangyin and Zunhua and the organizer of CGC held a social meeting in GoldenWaterSea hotel, Shanghai on April 20, 2006. Miss Peggie, the project manager of CGC, on the behalf of all the CGC’s colleges, appreciated the Austria delegates coming from long away to visit in Shanghai and both the government officials who have given the strong support to the meeting.

Mr. Hermann Daniel, the head of this delegation, gave a brief introduction of this visit. This is the first time for those 12 companies have come to China. Many Austria companies are aware of China’s increasing role in the world economy. For two decades China shows continuous and spectacular growth. Foreign trade is decidedly booming. Foreign direct investment remains very strong. Mr. Hermann Daniel pointed out that most of the delegates from this trip are consulting firms and he stressed that anyone with international aspirations will at some point consider opening up economic avenues with China.

During the meeting, both of the Jiangyin government officials and Zunhua officials gave the introduction of local investment environment as well as general development situation of local economy. At the break time, they communicated with each other and also exchanged the views about the projects which they showed interests in such as: furnithure manufacture, woods processing and food processing ect.

Many delegates agreed on that it was a pleasant time for them to be in shanghai.
