How to Use MetaTrader WebTrader for Trading

Posted on August 18, 2022August 18, 2022 By Danny Sullivan No Comments on How to Use MetaTrader WebTrader for Trading

The MetaTrader WebTrader: What Is It?

You may enter the financial market and start trading by using the Meta Trader Web Trader without downloading any software but still getting a lot of advantages. This is perfect for circumstances when you want to keep trading without downloading additional software when you are away from your primary trading station.

Using the MetaTrader Web Terminal for Trading

Logging In

You must have a live or practice trading account with MT4 or MT5 in order to use the MetaTrader WebTrader.

Depending on the type of account you have, you may choose “MetaTrader 4” or “MetaTrader 5” on the same page to log in.

The online terminal will then redirect you, where you must input your account information and choose the appropriate server from a drop-down menu.

An interface that closely resembles the desktop platforms will be displayed after logging in.

Charts

Symbols that may be traded are shown in the Market Watch window, which is located on the left part of the screen. Use the search box to find the other symbols you want to add. You may choose a price chart by selecting “Chart Window” from the menu that appears when you right-click a symbol. As an alternative, you may open a chart by clicking and dragging your chosen instrument into WebTrader’s chart area. The toolbar will have options to change the timeframe of the charts.

Technical Indicators

Select “Insert” and “Indicators” to add technical indicators to your price chart. Unfortunately, you can’t use the indicators that you customized before when you use WebTrader.

Opening  a Trade

By selecting “New Order” you may make a new order using the MetaTrader online terminal. Once you created a trade, the stop loss, entry price, and take profit will be noted.

All the trades that are open will be displayed in the “Toolbox” section. Other information such as equity, balance, and margin will also be shown in that section.

One Click Trading

Click on the open price chart and choose “One Click Trading” to enable one-click trading. The terminal for one-click trading will show up in the upper left-hand corner. When you do this for the first time, a popup will appear asking if you want to enable one-click trading.

Viewing the Spread

One of a broker’s key sources of revenue is the spread, which is the term used to describe the difference between the bid and ask prices.

To check the spread, simply right-click on any symbol highlighted in the Markt Watch section and choose Spread. Market Watch will add a column that shows the spread in pips for each symbol.
